a pottery wheel!
In late 2019, I finally approached a long held bucket list item — learning to throw pottery. As with most things I end up doing, I dove in head first. Getting muddy is fun!
But little did I expect…. how fun. Like, seriously. You could say, I got stuck in the mud. In 2022, I made the plunge and bought a wheel and a kiln. Suddenly, I had a home studio. Then, I up and moved… and made another: bigger, with more tools, more storage space, and lots more clay! You might find me playfully exploring, trying new things, making more to items to replace my commercial dish ware, creating commissioned works or even “just” artistic pieces.
It’s fun. It’s meditative. It’s challenging. And it’s so satisfying.
